Erik Davidson is a software engineer at ShoreTel where he works on creating and maintaining a scalable architecture for VOIP and other online communications. He's been interested in software since he wrote a text-based adventure in BASIC for a book report and has only continued learning from there. He has over 15 years of professional experience and is always interested in learning new technologies to keep his skills sharp.
His most recent work is written in Go, Rust, Python and C but in the past he's worked with C#, VB, PHP and a myriad of other languages. He's a massive fan of Linux and uses it daily but also works with Windows and MacOS as needs arise. For the last few years his projects have used Docker and Mesos for deployment and used data stores such as Cassandra, Redis and PostgreSQL.
