Graduate student and software developer. My primary interests include functional programming and programming languages, operating systems, machine learning, graphics and music.
In my current work, I am the developer of OCCAM, a C++ data mining program used by researchers in the Systems Science department at Portland State University. I work on a huge legacy codebase: refactoring, adding new features, and addressing bugs.
I have worked as a teaching assistant for several graduate and undergraduate classes. I enjoy guiding students to complete difficult assignments (in classes about things like Programming Languages, Compilers, Operating Systems), without giving away the answer or detracting from the learning experience.
