I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. During the last year of my undergraduate studies, I worked with Xstor Medical Systems for my senior project while doing an internship with Intel where I focused on optimizing software. In order to develop a storage configuration tool for Xstor Systems, I taught myself web development skills Ruby on Rails, HTML, jQuery, AJAX and SQL. After graduating, my undergraduate internship ended and my Intel manager brought me back as a contractor until I decided to obtain a Master’s degree. My manager then transitioned me to a graduate level intern where I continued to improve my skills in system responsiveness and power optimizations. During my time with Intel, I picked up DirectX, OpenCV, OpenCL, OpenGL and SSE/AVX intrinsic in order to provide the best results for our customers.
